The CPP SEG Student Chapter is comprised of undergraduates and graduate students dedicated to encouraging student interest in the field of geophysics. Our goals as a club include, but are not limited to:
- Providing students with the opportunity to become familiar with the various applications in the field of geophysics - Introduce students to a wide variety of geophysical careers and current research - Create opportunities for social interaction between students, faculty, staff, and friends - Enhance geosciences education and awareness within the community
We hope to provide resources and advice ranging from study sessions, attending conferences, project ideas, and mostly, a friendly, comfortable environment to share ideas, meet new people, and interact with other students.
President – Chloe Sutkowski Vice President – Paula Soto Secretary – Kyle Macy Treasurer - Lonny Padilla
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists offers free membership to students, which provides some useful benefits (and adds an affiliation to your resume). Consider applying! Choose the sponsored membership option if still available.
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists has a similar program available.
